Prezentation at the European Sociological Association (ESA) konference 22. – 25. 8. 2015: Intersectional perspective in the analysis of the impact of crisis on life courses in the CR: gender, class, age (and parenthood)
We are analysing the impacts of the economic crisis on the labour market relations in the Czech Republic. Applying the intersectional perspective in quantitative analysis of structural inequalities we analyse the changing structure of the labour market between 2008 and 2012 in the intersection of gender, class (education), age and parenthood using statistical indicators. Moreover we are capturing the risk of losing job in the first phase of the crisis (2008 - 2010) by event-history analysis. This paper presents an example of quantitative intersectional analysis as well as a first and preparatory phase of our current research project. Based on these quantitative analyses we hope to find lines of inequalities and their intersections for qualitative research on lived reality and coping strategies of people which will follow.
